Tiburon is the Spanish word for “shark,” and is the name of a compact coupe manufactured by Hyundai since 1996. Sometimes called “Tibby” for short, the Hyundai Tiburon is also known throughout the world as the Coupe, the Tuscani and the Turbulence.
Speaking of turbulence, one of the Hyundai parts that make up your cooling system contains something called a “turbulator.” Located inside the radiator, the purpose of a turbulator is to “trouble the waters” – in other words, create turbulence in the coolant solution so as to cool the engine more evenly. This is important; most roadside breakdowns can be traced to defective or aging Hyundai Tiburon parts that are found in the cooling system. It’s not a bad idea to carry a spare set of hoses and other Hyundai Tiburon parts like the pressure cap and thermostat. The radiator itself is not indestructible, regardless of how well its cared for. This fragile aluminium hot water bottle will serve you very well for many years. Eventually however, the adhesives that are used in assembling the unit start to lose their bonding power. If you see tell-tale drops of bright neon green or orange around the seams mean it’s time to get a new radiator. These are available as discount Hyundai Tiburon parts. Buying one of these can save you a great deal of money. On rebuilt Hyundai parts you’ll pay a core charge, which is refunded when you turn in the old worn unit.
