The average price of a Mercedes 280SEL engine oil is between $10.69 and $309.94.
The Mercedes 280SEL generally needs high-quality engine oil that satisfies some Mercedes-Benz standards. The right oil is essential for the engine's performance, longevity, and efficiency. The oil supplies lubrication to minimize friction among the moving parts, aids in cooling by dissipating heat, and also keeps the engine clean by preventing sludge and deposits. With the correct oil, you get optimum engine performance, less wear and tear, and better fuel efficiency, which can be achieved. Regular oil changes are also required to get these advantages since, over time, oil becomes aged and its effectiveness is reduced.

- Pour the quantity of new oil recommended into the engine through a funnel so that it will not spill.
- Put in the oil filler cap and start the engine to check for leaks.
