The development of the iconic BMW E36 3 series began nine full years prior to its release. It first rolled off the assembly line in 1990, to universal praise. This 3-series came in 2, 4-door and wagon options. They were also equipped with groundbreaking ABS braking and stability control technology.

E36 Z3 Parts
The BMW Z3 was first introduced in 1998 in the US. The platform was based on BMW's most popular E36 3 series. This sleek convertible has such a distinctive and aggressive look to it, that many dealers were unable to meet the high demand for this first production release. The roadster model gave drivers the option of a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine, while the Coupe E36/8 came in a 2.8 or 3.0 liter 6-cylinder. The elongated appearance of the Z3 roadster caused many Germans to liken the vehicle to a sports show. However, its popularity through time is undeniable. The Z3 remains one of the most iconic releases from BMW in recent decades. AutohausAZ serves many Z3 parts seekers each day. We offer ways to finance your repairs if it’s an extensive BMW suspension parts overhaul, or simply an easy point and click checkout for a routine BMW brake disc job. If you are one of the lucky 300,000 BMW Z3 owners worldwide, then let AutohausAZ cover all your BMW parts needs.
E36 M3 Parts
The E36 M3 hit the US market in 1992 to rather mixed reviews. While both coupe and convertible received the upgraded version of the M20 engine, the M50, it still lacked the power that BMW enthusiasts desired from the inline-six platform. The BMW M3 did offer BMW's ground-breaking new VVT system, or the single vanos system, which adjusted the timing of the intake cams. Due to the lack of top-end power, many consider this iteration of the M3 the least loved. There are many BMW performance part upgrades for this M3 to alleviate the pain of the high HP seekers.
While the European version boasted an extra 46 ponies under the hood, the handling of the E36 was in-line with what E30 owners had come to expect.
E36 320i and 325i Parts
As we sit here in the early 2020's, we see fewer and fewer E36 3-series on the road. One reason being that many of the lovers of the BMW E36 decided to upgrade to the most popular BMW of the past 30 years, the E46. Others became tired of the minimal HP output and the required maintenance of the M50 engine. The 320i was equipped with the M50B20 and M50B20TU engine from 1991-1994, while the 325i got the beefier M50B25 and M50B25TU putting out an extra 35 horsepower. These BMW engines were also equipped with single VANOS in all 92- models.
