The coolant temperature sensor on your Volvo measures engine head temperature and relays that temperature to the gauge on the dash, allowing you to see when it's cold, operating within the appropriate temperature range, or if your engine is running too hot and needs to be checked out. The Bosch 0280130026 20° C, two prong F.I. type connector temperature sensor is an original equipment direct replacement for the Volvo 1332396 temperature sensor used on the Volvo 740, 760, and 780 models from 1985 through 1990.
