The oil pan bolts on your BMW N51, N52, N54, N55, S55 engines found in 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ActiveHybrid, X1, X3, X4, X5, X6, and Z4 models with automatic transmissions are single use aluminum stretch bolts. These stretch bolts, when installed in the engine, are torqued beyond the state of elasticity and become permanently elongated resulting in a tighter fit without the use of thread locker. It is because the bolts become elongated when installed, once removed they cannot be used again. This Rein Automotive oil pan bolt set is a complete set of new aluminum stretch bolts for the oil pan on your BMW.
