  • 12138616153 is a Delphi ignition coil with spark plug connector for BMW and Mini.
  • The ignition coil creates the high voltage needed for the spark plug to ignite the air fuel mixture compressed in each cylinder. Rather than having a single coil producing this voltage for each cylinder, your BMW and Mini have an ignition coil for each cylinder.
  • Delphi ignition coils are one of the original ignition coils used by BMW and Mini in production and are the recommended brand to replace a failed coil if your BMW or Mini is equipped with Delphi coils.
  • Mixing coil brands can result in the check engine light coming on as slight differences in the coils will make the engine management computer think all of the coils are not performing the same.
  • Ignition coil failure can result in the lack of engine power, one or more cylinders to not fire, and a rough running engine.
    Delphi is a British company that specializes in electrical vehicle maintenance parts. They are considered the OEM for many highly technical BMW parts.
