    The heater control valve on your Volvo is a vacuum operated mechanical valve that opens and closes to allow hot engine coolant to circulate through the heater core to heat air for the HVAC system. For a vacuum to be applied to the heater control valve, a heater control valve coupling connects the heater control valve diaphragm to the engine vacuum line. If the coupling degrades and forms a leak, the heater control valve will not open, your Volvo will lose it's ability to warm the air in the HVAC system, and then engine vacuum leaks will cause a rough engine idle. The 1332455 heater control valve coupling from URO is a direct replacement for the heater control valve coupling on your S40, S60, S70, S80, and S90 Volvo built from 1998 through 2006.
