  • The radiator on your BMW helps to maintain optimal engine operating temperature by cooling hot coolant from the engine. When the engine thermostat opens, the hot coolant flows into the radiator where air flows over finned coils, this air cools the engine coolant before returning it to the engine.
  • Over time, contaminates from the engine can clog the coils in the radiator preventing coolant flow. Additionally, due to its location in front of the engine, the radiator is susceptible to road debris that can clog the fins preventing air flow or even puncture the coils causing the radiator to leak.
