  • The front lower control arms on your Volvo S80 support the weight of your vehicle and anchor the front wheels to the chassis to stabilize and align the front wheels.
  • Connected to the chassis with rubber bushings and to the steering knuckle with a ball joint, the control arms also allow the wheel to travel up and down to match to contour of the road.
  • If the control arm bushings or ball joints on the control arms wear out, it will cause clunks and rattles in your suspension and cause wheels to not be aligned with the chassis, wearing your tires prematurely.
