Your Volvo XC90 wheel hub is press fitted into the wheel bearings with an outer race that bolts to the steering knuckle. This attaches the wheels to your Volvo’s chassis while allowing them to spin freely. When the hub seals deteriorate it will allow grease from the hub assembly to escape and dirt to get in. This causes the rollers in the bearing to wear out until it emits an audible growl, telling you that your Volvo XC90 wheel hub needs to be replaced. The SKF BR930504 front wheel hub for your 2004-2013 XC90 is the original equipment wheel hub used by Volvo during production and the preferred replacement wheel hub for your Volvo XC90.
