In case you’ve ever wondered, the “NSX” in Acura NSX stands for New Sportscar eXpermental. These cars have been around since 1990, and if yours is an older model, there are probably some Acura NSX parts that are starting to show their age.

Beyond those Acura parts needed for regular maintenance such as oil and lube jobs and tune-ups, the first things to go will probably be the radiator hoses, belts and plug wires. Because they are subject to high levels of heat inside the engine compartment, these rubber and rubberized Acura NSX parts will get brittle within a few years of normal driving and eventually crack. These should be inspected about every six months or so. When your Acura’s plug wires start to crack open or suffer damage, it is especially important to replace them as soon as possible. As with all discount Acura NXS parts, you should buy the best ones you can afford. Unless they are from the original manufacturer, avoid cheap after-market brands made overseas. The reason is that cheap plug wires can leak electromagnetic energy that can interfere with the your electronic accessories, and can even allow current to jump from one wire to another – causing the cylinders to misfire, which can result in costly engine damage. When looking for the highest quality Acura NSX parts, look for U.S. or Japanese manufacturers, who invariably turn out superior products. That way, once the job is done, you won’t need to do it again for a good long time.
