Founded in 1943 as FahrzeugTechnik Ebern, later changed to FTE, is now part of the huge worldwide Valeo group of companies. FTE has always specialized in drivetrain and brake system components that meet or exceed OEM standards. As a leading development partner and OE supplier to the automotive industry, the FTE brand may be found as original equipment on your car when it came from the factory. As replacement parts we can count on FTE for the same high quality fit and function as the original parts you are replacing.
Many of the FTE parts can be found in the hydraulic systems of a car, both in braking and clutch components. Known for their OE quality, FTE brake and clutch master cylinders along with clutch slave cylinders will have all the correct mounting points and hose or line connections as your original. For a trouble-free and cost effective repair check out the AutohausAZ catalog for the FTE hydraulic components available for your specific model.
FTE Brake Master Cylinder
The brake master cylinder is the heart of your car’s braking system. It converts your brake pedal input into the brake’s hydraulic system lines sending pressurized brake fluid out to all four wheels. Over time the seals and piston cup in the master cylinder can wear out and will need replacing. An FTE brake master cylinder will have the OE specifications for fitment and function so that your repair will go quickly and at a fraction of dealer pricing. Please remember to always replace and bleed the brake fluid throughout the system whenever you change out your brake master cylinder. Check out your repair manual for the correct procedures to do so.
FTE Clutch Master Cylinder
Just as in your braking system, if you have a hydraulic clutch then your clutch master cylinder is the heart of that system. It converts your clutch pedal input to pressurize the clutch hydraulic fluid going down to the clutch slave cylinder. The clutch master cylinder has seals and a piston cup that will wear over time requiring a master cylinder replacement. A new FTE clutch master cylinder will the have the OE specification connections and mounting points for a quick and easy repair. Please note that replacing and bleeding the hydraulic fluid when changing out the clutch master cylinder is a must and changing out the slave cylinder with the master cylinder is highly recommended.
FTE Clutch Slave Cylinder
If your car has a hydraulic clutch system then you will have a clutch slave cylinder mounted down near the bellhousing at the rear of the engine. This slave cylinder takes the pressurized hydraulic fluid from the clutch master cylinder and pushes against the clutch fork that moves the release/throwout bearing. That movement disengages the clutch allowing you to shift the car or stop the car and idle. As with any moving part, a slave cylinder will wear and need replacing eventually. An FTE clutch slave cylinder is built to the OE specifications and will be a direct replacement in fitment and functionality so that you can quickly and affordably get your car back on the road. Please remember to replace and bleed the hydraulic fluid in the system before driving the car. Any air left in the system can make the clutch nonoperational so this is a crucial step to any repair.
