Lemforder Control Arms
Whether you have A-arms or a multilink suspension, Lemforder has a direct fit replacement manufactured to the same specifications as your original equipment. Most European cars come with Lemforder control arms installed at the factory, so you know the OE quality is built in. Some control arms are made to allow for replacement of the bushings while others you must replace the entire control arm assembly. Be sure to check if the new control arms come with the ball joints preinstalled or if you need to order ball joints as well. The ball joints allow the control arms to pivot as you drive to adapt to road surfaces and turning. New ball joints are a must if you replace the control arms or the control arm bushings. Because most cars use the control arms to set proper wheel alignment, it is always recommended that you get a wheel alignment after control arm replacement for safe operation of the car.
Lemforder Tie Rods
The tie rod assemblies are attached at the steering knuckle at each wheel and at the rack assembly or the conventional steering gear center link. Those tie rods are not only to allow you to turn your wheels but are also used to adjust your wheel alignment along with the control arms. Using high quality OE-spec Lemforder tie rods ensures that your steering system is brought back to the OE standard and you have the proper adjustability for your mechanic to align your wheels. As with the control arms, once you replace the tie rods you should have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted as needed for the safe operation of the car.
