For more than half a century Zimmermann has been developing and producing the highest quality spare brake components for the automotive industry. With a catalog of over 4,000 brake parts sold in more than 60 countries, Zimmermann brake parts are some of the most sought after in the world. All Zimmermann brake parts are manufactured in Sinsheim, Germany on state-of-the-art production lines using robotic technology to guarantee precision made parts and the shortest production times. Since 1990, Zimmermann has expanded its facilities to more than four acres of production lines and warehouses to meet the ever-growing demand for European brake rotors, drums, brake pads, brake shoes, calipers, and complete brake kits for passenger and light commercial vehicles.
Zimmermann Auto Parts
Since nearly every auto manufacturer controls the development of its own products, they also hold many of the patents that prevent spare part manufacturers from replicating them. Due to this, Zimmermann’s motto is, “as close to OE as possible,” and why Zimmermann always initiates the development of their products that provide solutions for the aftermarket. Many of the products in Zimmermann’s Fusion Z line are such solutions like: the Formula S brake discs to replace Mercedes steel hub brake discs, Formula F brake discs to replace BMW riveted composite brake discs, and Formula Z brake discs that replace the Audi Wave brake discs. All Zimmermann products under the Fusion Z line are compound material discs to save unsprung mass in vehicles to reduce vehicle’s overall weight and reduce CO2 emissions.
Zimmermann’s quality begins with only using the highest quality raw materials to ensure Zimmermann parts function equally and for as long as the OE parts. In recent years, an increasing number of inferior brake parts with low quality raw materials have been introduced to the automotive aftermarket. These low quality parts are not only made with lesser quality materials but have changed tolerances that can result in deformation and cracking while braking. Zimmermann only uses the best gray cast iron with supplements like copper, molybdenum, titanium, and carbon to match the original equipment compositions. All Zimmermann parts spend 2-3 years in development and thousands of hours in both lab and road testing before production begins.
Zimmermann Coat Z Brake Discs and Rotors
Zimmermann’s adherence to quality led to the development of the Coat Z brake discs and rotors in 2008. The Coat Z brake discs and drums have an anti-corrosion coating to prevent rust even after being installed with no need to remove the coating before mounting.
The Zimmermann brand is synonymous with quality and safety, and Zimmermann’s goal is to provide a cost effective and extensive product line for all major auto manufacturers.
