This original equipment kit includes both rear rotors, pad set, pad wear sensors, and the recommended brake assembly lubricant. 1 kit per vehicle.
The rear brakes on your Mercedes G55 AMG provide approximately 25%-40% of your vehicle’s braking ability. The softer friction material of the brake pads slows the rear wheels by creating drag on the rear brake rotors every time the brake pedal is pressed. The harder you press the brake pedal, the harder the pads press against the rotors, creating more drag and slowing your Mercedes G55 faster. The braking process wears down the friction material of the brake pads and heats the brake rotors each time you apply the brakes. Eventually the pads will wear out and the continuous heating and cooling of the rotors will cause them to warp.
