  • The rocker arms on your Porsche’s engine, open and close the engine valves based on camshaft position. As the camshaft turns, lobes on the camshaft move pushrods attached to the rocker arms. The rocker arms then push down to open either the intake valve to allow air and fuel to enter the cylinder or the exhaust valve to allow exhaust gas to leave the cylinder. As the camshaft lobe continues to turn the pushrod drops and the rocker arm lifts away from the valve, allowing the valve to close and the cylinder to build compression and fire the cylinder.
  • If you have worn rocker arms, it can cause the valves to not completely open or close. This causes the cylinders to be unable to build proper compression or even misfire.
  • These replacement rocker arms are direct replacements for the rocker arms on the 1965-1994 911s, 1970-1972 914s, and 1978-1979 930 Porsche models.
