MK1 Parts
The first generation MK1 may not be a looker by today’s standards, but they were quite popular upon their inaugural release in 1974. The front-wheel drive was introduced as a refresher to the classic Beetle. The Golf was the European nameplate, while we here in the US received the cuter Rabbit, Mexico got the spunkier Caribe. You can still find replacement MK1 parts right here at AutohausAZ.
MK2 Golf Parts
The MK2 retained the rounded look of the MK1 but had a bit longer of a wheelbase. It featured a 1.8L fuel injected engine and had a similar performance pedigree as the MK1. The MK1 Cabriolet was continued into the MK2 production cycle and saw no discernible changes. The MK2 was the first Golf to be offered in VW Syncro 4-wheel drive. We’re proud to develop the AAZ preferred “inhaus” timing belt kit for the MK2 Golf, PN 056TIMINGKIT. This kit includes only OEM parts for your VW by Continental, Elring Klinger and Ina.
MK3 Parts
3rd generation MK3 received the first true aesthetic transformation in 1991. It also saw the first iteration of the Golf turbo diesel, or a petrol based 2.8L VR6 engine. The inline-6 VW engine only uses two camshafts. The MK3 was sold right up until Y2K. Bilstein front and rear shocks are a popular weekend job for the MK3, and the Bosch auxiliary water pump is the OEM cooling system replacement for the MK3, PN 0392020024.
MK4 Golf Parts
The MK4, introduced in 1997, is the first VW Golf to cultivate a true performance-based enthusiast following. In part due to the high performance 3.2L VR6 R32 that was released in 2002, and as its release coincided with the launch of the Fast and Furious series of films. The VW Golf MK4 was a perfect starter tuner car with its low entry price and most bolt-on modifications garners +10HP for a few hundred bucks. Our sister company 034 Motorsports offers many suspension mods as well as intake system upgrades and performance braking components. See their track-ready engine mounts, PN 0345095031. Bosch supplies us with MK4 fuel pumps and mass air flow sensors.
MK5 Parts
The MK5 saw the return of the Rabbit nameplate. The MK5 is where the tuner crowd began to dictate the future development of the Golf. VAG even marketed this Rabbit as the “Fast” Rabbit. The 2.5L 5 cylinder had 150HP stock with a modest frame. Many of our AAZ preferred brake kits are dedicated to the VW MK5. Within these replacement kits, you’ll get OEM Bosch Quietcast brake pads as well as Zimmermann rotors. Our OP VW catalytic converters are affordably priced at less than $400, PN OPCE7013. 034 offers their Density Line products for many of the Golfs. You’ll find adjustable control arms in these kits.
MK6 Golf Parts
The MK6 Golf debuted at the Paris Motor show in 2008. Walter Maria De Silva designed this generation of the Golf and was the head of Volkswagen in the later 2000s. The mindsight behind the MK6 was to design a less expensive Golf that would allow VW to pass the savings onto the customer. In doing so, the company left the door wide open for VW aftermarket parts. AutohausAZ offers a popular all encompassing timing belt and water pump kit for the essential cooling system components on your MK6. 216088007, comes with the timing belt, tension roller, relay roller, the idler rollers, and the Graf water pump. The 2010 VW Golf ignition housing is one of the most popularly replaced aftermarket parts for VW in 2022.MK7 Parts
In 2012, VW introduced the first Golf to use the MQB platform, MKVII. $8 billion was spent on this modular front-wheel drive layout, allowing Volkswagen to piecemeal assembly worldwide no matter what plant contained the specific assembly parts. Referred to internally as a strategic weapon, the goal was to reduce future production costs of all VW Golf models going forward.
Though the MK7 is still in its VW parts infancy, there is still a high demand for wear and tear car parts. Direct injection Bosch coils are popular to pair with the spark plugs, and these will always ship for a low flat rate. Our VW customers know that we love saving them time and money.
